Admissions to all B.E. Courses in the Institute are done by Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh through a process of counseling based on the merit list of a PreEngineering Test (PET) conducted by the Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal (Professional Examinations Board) constituted by M.P. State Government as an autonomous organization to conduct entrance tests for all  professional  courses in the state.

Eligibility  

 Students passing the (10+2) examination of the M.P. Board of Higher Secondary Education and also qualifying in the PET are eligible for admission to the B.E. courses subject to the place earned by them in the PET Merit List and further subject to a system of choice and merit for courses as well as institutions.
Engineering Faculty

(a) Direct Candidates:

Only GATE qualified candidates shall be admitted to Full time P.G. courses for non-sponsored category (General&SC/ST). When GATE qualified candidates are not available, admission shall be given on merit to those who are not qualified in GATE.

(b) Sponsored Candidates:

Candidates must possess Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or equivalent in the appropriate branches.The candidates must have a minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/company/industry/educational & research institutions/any Govt. department or Govt. autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.

M.C.A.

 Admissions to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course are given through a process of counseling  conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh, on the basis of an entrance test for MCA conducted by the Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal of the State.

Applied Sciences 

Minimum academic requirement for admission shall be a II division in B.Sc. or any other equivalent degree recognised by Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya,Bhopal with 45% marks in theory in the relevant subject/discipline in which admission is sought.

 For admission to M.Sc. Applied Physics (Electronics & Semiconductors) candidates passing B.Sc. with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or candidate passing with Physics as the Principal subject along with Mathematics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Statistics as subsidiary subjects shall be considered eligible provided they fulfill the other criteria laid down above.

 For admission to M.Sc. Applied Chemistry candidates passing B.Sc. with Physics,Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany or candidates passing with Chemistry as the Principal subject and Physics/Mathematics/Computer Science /Electronics / Botany/Zoology as subsidiary subjects shall be considered eligible provided they fulfill the other criteria laid down above.

 For admission to M.Sc. Applied Mathematics (Computer Science), candidates passing B.Sc. with Physics ,Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or candidates passing with Mathematics/Statistics as the principal subject and Physics/Chemistry/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics as subsidiary subjects shall be considered eligible provided they fulfill the other criteria laid down above.
